Assassination Classroom by Yusei Matsui

So I recently started a new manga series called Assassination Classroom, and have decided to do a little blurb on it, since I really do enjoy it.

Basically, this manga series is about a class (more specifically Class 3-E of Kunugigaoka Middle school). This classroom is otherwise known as the 'give up on them' class, where all the people who aren't good enough are put in. Except this school isn't quite the same as the other schools. This one is a school for assassination. Every morning, they students greet their teacher with a massive firing squad. Bullets everywhere.

This class of 3-E is usually made up of the people who the teachers and staff have given up on. However, things change when they get a new teacher. Except this teacher isn't an ordinary teacher. He's a weird combination of an alien and an octopus, and he moves at speeds of mach-20. To say the least, he's super fast. He also was responsible for the destruction of the moon, blasting a hole in it and making a crescent shape it's perpetual shape. The government, in order to prevent the destruction of the world, had to abide with his strange command-- he wants to teach a high school class for a year, before he destroys Earth. In exchange, he will protect all his students, as well as teach them.

So now, class 3-E has a mission. Kill this alien that's somehow a ridiculously good teacher. Class E has to assassinate this teacher, that has to teach them exactly how to assassinate him before the end of the year.

Personally, I really enjoy this series, especially because it's not quite like anything else I've read. Assassination? yes. Aliens? Yes. School? Yes. All three of those put together in this fashion? Not quite. It's a series that will keep you laughing, and on the edge of your toes, especially since they try so hard to assassinate this teacher... But not quite...

I recommend this book to every single manga fan, and there's even an anime for all those anime fans out there! The only thing about this is that sometime's it gets so.... weird, that you're kind of left in the dust as to the happenings in the book.

*** I give this series a 9.49 out of 10!***

Ao No Exorcist/ Blue Exorcist

Ahhh... Ao No Exorcist. A rather beautiful manga in my opinion, and an even better anime. I like it. You should like it. Haven't read it? Go read it. Haven't watched it? Go watch it. Seriously, it's actually really good.

Kazue Kato weaves a parallel universe of Exorcists and demons. Meet Rin Okumura, a hybrid between a mortal woman and Satan. Due to this, Rin has powers that, quite frankly, he has no idea how to use. Also, he has a tail that he tries to keep concealed. I can't give too much information about Rin without spoiling the series, but he plans to become an Exorcist as well.

Yukio Okumura is Rin's brother, and a downright genius. He's the youngest student to become an instructor at the Exorcism Cram School, which Rin goes to. He's a pretty great exorcist, and usually is cool headed and thinks things out, unlike Rin who enjoys blinding rushing in to save everyone. Although he often talks to Rin like an older brother, he is Rin's younger brother.

Blue Exorcist is a series, so I suggest that you read it in order. Especially with this manga-- Rin develops his powers and himself as a person in every volume, so I suggest that you read in order, or else you may not recognize him, because he changed so much. Also, it's important to read from the beginning because you get introduced to characters and you also will get the flashbacks when they happen in later chapters.

I suggest Ao No Exorcist to anyone who enjoys supernatural fantasy books, and anyone who enjoys anime or manga! I would say that this would be a bit bloody and filled with coarse language for children, so I recommend it to teens and older people.

***I rate this series a 9.7 out of 10!!***

Fan Expo

Ahhhhh.... Fan Expo. An absolute paradise for any fan. This was my first year going to Fan Expo, and really, I had a really awesome time. Tickets are really inexpensive compared to Anime Rev, and there are plenty of amazing merchandise and people. I went to the Sunday event, and I had lots and lots of fun! I really want to go again next year, too! I met a lot of voice actors, and some really talented artists. Also, I was able to buy two anime posters, which I am totally excited about!

The line up actually wasn't that long, and we barely waited at all compared to how much we thought we would have to wait. Also, I personally think that it would be a better idea to come a little later when most of the people are already inside, because you really won't be there the whole day. I stayed from 9:30 ish to 4:00. This doesn't mean that there aren't many things to see though. I warn you-- do not bring too much money to this convention. You'll end up spending all of it... There are way too many good anime merchandise there, and you will not be able to stop yourself!

A small thing that irked me was that you had to buy the autographs. They aren't for free, and you also need to pay for photo ops. How crazy is that? Also, the anime merchandise is totally expensive. However, it's a totally amazing experience, and I suggest that every fan check this amazing place out!

From anime to Marvel comics, Fan Expo seriously has everything! There are tons and tons of people who go in cosplay, so don't be afraid to go in cosplay as well. That being said, I didn't go in cosplay, and that's fine too! There aren't any rules, (other tan the usual safety rules), so you just get to go and have tons of fun!

I suggest that you go with a few friends, because this convention is lots of fun by yourself, but even more fun with others!

I'm looking forwards to trying to go to Fan Expo next year!

Death Note

Hi! I'm going to start off with a few questions. First off. Is anyone familiar with Death Note? The manga? Also- for people who do know Death Note, what do you think you would do if you had a Death Note as well? For one- would you have the nerve to kill someone if you were going to kill them? For two, if you had a death note, how would you use it? Would you go all out as Light did to hide the Death Note and to throw people off trail if they came to find it? Now. Enough questions. I know all my answers!

If I had the ability to caption anything, I would caption this Death Note Manga 'A Genius Kind of Manga'. Really- the author really made Light and 'L' two genii! But before I decide to get you into this complicated world of genii, death, and gods, let me give you a slight intro to the actual characters and book.
First off, I thought I would mention the fact that I bought the black edition. It has two Death Note volumes in one, and it is black. Literally. Other than the occasional white, when I got this book, the first thing that crossed my mind was: 'wow. They sure must have used a lot of black ink.' Also, this manga is T+, meaning it is meant for older teens. The actual death note is a diary. A diary of a shinigami, meaning death god. A death note is basically a notebook, and it comes with a set of rules. Basically, it is a killing diary. When you write a person's full name into the note, it will kill the person. And there is a bunch of other rules involved but really- it's better if you read it.

Now a little about the actual characters.....

Light Yagami is seventeen years old, incredibly smart, and a very studious teenager. His father is the head of the NPA police, and he lives with his father, his mother, and his sister. The manga starts with Light being very bored in school when a note book drops out of the sky. That's right. It is the Death Note. Light Yagami is the main character in this story and one that I admire very much for his brains.

'L' (he never gives his full name in the two volumes), otherwise known as Ryuzaki (although I am sure that that is not his real name, either), is another genius. Really. This book is loaded with genii. A rather thorough and amazingly exact detective, he is spectacular and again, I admire his loads for his brain. However, not that much is shown about Ryuzaki, as he always keeps to himself for the prospect of 'Kira' (killer, otherwise 'un'known as Light) having a part in the task office. Ryuzaki is very very cautious and I admire him for that as well as Light who is equally cautious not to let any clues slip!

Those are about the two main characters in the story....... Perhaps the shinigami? Well, known as Ryuk, he isn't quite so smart and tends to ask a lot of questions to his human, Light. He is definitely an interesting character, and........ I think that's all........ Oh yeah. Death gods love apples.

Death Note is a mind squalling book/manga, and I hope you read it because it is really a brain-teaser!

***** I give this book a 9.9999999 out of 10. It's really spectacular!!!!!******
