My Trip to San Diego: Day Five

July 5, 2010

Today, we are leaving San Diego. It has been an interesting week full of fun. My day today started with my dad buying breakfast at Subway and then eating it at the hotel. Before we started eating, we took some photos. After all, it was our last day here and we had a great view. So we decided to take some snapshots. I took a random shot and took one of my mom and my dad enjoying the view and took one of their backs. It was really funny. Amazingly, even my mom liked it! She said that it wasn’t often that she could see her back and my dad told her that I was a good photographer. After breakfast, we started toward the outlet. There, we spent around half the day. We bought a pair of sandals for me (which I love and cherish) and more. I couldn’t possibly name them all. Then again, we bought a lot (typical us). We also ate some pretzels and a drink (iced tea). We shopped some more and bought a lot more stuff. When we finally decided to go, it was already noon. So we made our way to the Korean market. At the Korean market, we decided to shop a little and we also needed to return a pencil that I bought at the beginning of the trip. I was broken, so we had to return it; it was no use to me. So, at Galleria (the shop name), we bought lots of Korean goods. For example, we bought this drink called Milkiss. It is something similar to the everyday soda in modern times. However, it had much more of a soothing taste and your mouth doesn’t go all weird and clammy a few minutes after you had drunken the bottle (or can). Over all, the after taste is better than that of a soda. I think it still rots your teeth, though. I don’t think you can get away from that! I guess there are ways from preventing them from rotting, but you would still need a toothbrush to do that. Unless you want to go back home. Anyways, after buying all the stuff, we made our way to a café and we ate pat being soo there. It was so delicious! Pat being soo is a Korean type of sundae. As the ‘ice cream,’ we had crushed ice. For a substitute for toppings, we had ice cream and fruits. It was really nice to have in a hot summer day like this. It was really refreshing, yet at the same time, it had a sweet tinge. I really recommend this if you and your family or friends all want a sundae of ice cream, although it may be a little too much for one alone. After we had that, we hit the road to a restaurant. It was a place called the Corner Store (길목 in Korean.). There, we ate Korean BBQ (KBBQ). It was really yummy. We also ate some refreshing noodles. Perfect for the kind of weather here; the kind that slowly suffocates you and burns you into a crisp. After eating that heartening meal, we went to Avis; the place where we rented out our car. We then rode a shuttle to the Los Angeles airport. It wasn’t very far away, so we were there after only a few minutes. At the airport, we waited a few hours and then it was time to board. We traveled in semi-darkness, but then I was asleep most of the time. The next thing I knew, we were in British Columbia. In a taxi, we went home. At home, I brushed my teeth, went to the washroom, washed, and then went to sleep. So that is my exciting yet tiring trip to San Diego (via LA)!

My Trip to San Diego: Day Four

Today, we went to San Diego Wild Animal Park. However, when I went in, I wasn’t really impressed because I thought that more animals would be walking around freely. In reality, they were all just cooped up in cages, too. The only real difference is that they had a larger space to roam. It also imitates their habitat. For example, the giraffes had a whole entire hill and they were free to roam

anywhere around it. We then tried to fink some restaurant that was open, but we only found one. So without a choice, we ate there. I ate a pretzel while my mom and my dad ate a muffin. I loved the pretzel, although it was a bit too salty for my taste. It left my tongue strangely numb. However, after a few minutes, the feeling all vanished. We also bought a souvenir cup. It was a red portable coffee cup, and it said Wild Animal Park on it. I thought that it was good. It was sturdy, and was coated. Also, you got free refills if you brought the bottle and the receipt to a place where you could refill it. We then headed to go to the place where we boarded for the bus tour. It was called Journey into Africa. We boarded for the ride at the Simba Station. It was early and there weren’t many people boarding at that time, so we were lucky. We also were supposed to buy our tour tickets there, but since we had these special tickets, we were allowed to use those to get on the bus tour for free without having to buy the extra tickets. The bus tour was an over view of almost everything in the safari. There we saw rhinos, zebras, sheep, wild pigs, ostriches, buffalo, antelope, and more! We also saw elephants, giraffes, gazelles, lions and all different types of birds. Some birds were storks, ducks, and also flamingos. We saw flamingos at the San Diego Zoo, but all the flamingos there were pink. Meanwhile, the flamingos here were sometimes pink and sometimes white. Also, the flamingos here had only a small stretch of land and a large, deep pool, whereas the zoo had both land and water, and the water actually being shoal enough so that they could eat, but not so deep that they had to swim. I saw that they crowded the beach and none of them seemed to want to go too deep into the water, so I thought it was a waste of space to give them that much and them not seeming to want to use it! At the end of the trip, we got off the bus and we went to the balloon safari.

To go on the balloon safari, we had to buy special tickets. After buying the tickets, my dad and I went on it. My mom didn’t want to go because she was afraid of heights. I thought that was too bad because there was an awesome view up there. I thought that I could be able to see all the way to Vancouver with the view (a bit of an exaggeration, but it was really a great view). From there you could look all the way around the park; it was something like a park over view. It went quite a few feet up and then hovered there for a few minutes. During that time, we were allowed to walk around it the balloon to see and take pictures of the whole park. I had binoculars with me, so I got a good close-up view. I had to say that there was a great deal of animals down there. However, the animals had too much space in my point of view. Also, they didn’t seem to use it a lot of it anyway. I kept in thinking that it is such a big waste of space, while in that space, they could have made it into a place with trees or even a mini ( I don’t even believe that it would be mini) garden where they could grow various plants there. They could also grow fruits and vegetables there for the animals to eat! When were on flat ground again, we made our way to the place where we could see the lions and the lionesses. Sure enough, there was the lion and the lionesses. There was only one male lion and it was sleeping as far as I was concerned. Boy, didn’t it stink there, though! My mom, dad, and I took turns taking pictures of each other. Then, we headed away from the stench and started toward the restaurants. Quite a lot of the restaurants were open by now, and we were starving. As we went along our path, my mom and I needed to use the washroom, so we went to the one that was closest so us (mind you, even there was quite a long way away). So we made our way there and we went in. When we went in, we were hit by the most horrible stench in the world and most likely in the wild, too. I stunk so bad that I had to pinch my nose. However, we had to go, so we bore it. Then, we quickly made our way out of the restroom. I never thought I would be so glad to breathe fresh air like then! After all, “you never love anything before you fear of losing it. After all, one does not love to breathe until all breathing shuts off and you suffocate” said Dustfinger. That is a quote from Inkheart by Cornelia Funke. I think that it is a pretty reasonable saying and it has good meaning for it. Also, it just matches the picture correctly, I think. I was holding my nose when I went to the washroom for a potty break. It wasn’t superb. Anyway, let’s move on to some more joyful things. So after going… Ok. We started getting our way to the front, where we could go and feed the ducks. We then passed the cage where you could pet and feed the deer. I ventured inside. I got to pet a few deer, and I was surprised. They had stiff and tough fur, but I thought it would be softer. Unfortunately, I couldn’t feed them because my dad didn’t have any quarters (in US) with him. So we tried a Canadian quarter. That didn’t work. I couldn’t tell the difference, but I guess there was one. Maybe it was too thin. I couldn’t know. However, my dad exchanged money for the quarters for it, so I could feed them. There were little, cute, male, female, bold, shy and more ducks and ducklings. There were all different kinds. The food was a little ball, something like dog food, except that this was yellow, like the POPS cereal. I spent a lot of time at the pool, feeding the ducklings (although some of them were too little to be able to swallow them. There were also these two geese that always asked for more food. At the end, I had them eat out of my hand! It was a feeling like the flamingos. A hard and steady pecking. Fortunately, it didn’t hurt. After feeding the ducklings, we made our way out of the Wild Animal Park. Sincerely, it wasn’t a big impressment for me. That was the end of Wild Animal Park. After that, we went shopping and bought a whole bunch of stuff. I couldn’t possibly name them all; there were too many. After all, we had been to the outlet. We looked at all different stuff and bought a lot of things that were on sale. After shopping, we went to the book store Borders. It there, I bought some books and then we made our way to the hotel. Near the hotel, there was a sushi place. That is the place where we ate. After a hearty meal, we went back to the hotel to get some sleep. It was a fun yet tiring day.

My Trip to San Diego: Day Three

Today I went to Sea World. I was all tired and bleary when I woke up. I was jolted awake when I splashed cold water onto my face. I then went to Subway to get a hamburger and set off to Sea World.

We went into Sea World a few minutes earlier. MISTAKE. We were stuck there in the middle of the U.S.A anthem; it was an awkward situation since I didn’t even know the words. If I didn’t, well, so didn’t my parents. So we were acting all polite and we took off our hats, and lip-sang. I bet we looked really pathetic, with the suitcase and us not even knowing the words. We also had to wait there a little more because we were too early and the only thing that was open was the Skytower, and it was nothing fancy at that. After waiting a few minutes, everything finally opened.

First thing we went to was the Wild Arctic. That was a ride. It was actually pretty fun, but it was too short in my point of view. It was an imitation of a helicopter ride through the “wild arctic.” When we got off, it was really chilly. It was cold, but a good change from the boiling hot outside. I was chilled to the bone at the end, but it was worth it. I got to see all sorts of animals I wouldn’t see everyday. For example, I saw a walrus, and I also saw a polar bear. It was so close that it my hand could penetrate the glass, I could have touched it. I wanted to reach out and stroke it. Then, we walked out into the piercing and blinding light. We stood there, trying to adjust to the light. When I finally adjusted, I walked toward the penguin exhibit. There, I saw two dozen penguins either wobbling around or gliding in the water. They looked so cute and innocent that I wanted to pick one up (well, they were right in front of me, it wouldn’t be hard to just scoop one up would it?) and cuddle it. We then advanced toward the Penguin Encounter. In there were 300 penguins! There were ones basking in the dim light, others were waddling around, and yet, others were gliding -flying- in the water. We advanced on and saw some peculiar penguins. They flap their wings in water, adding a burst of speed into their already fast gliding. They looked like small pelicans, except their beaks were way smaller. They had bulking bodies, yet they didn’t see affected by it at all. We then forged on to the shark encounter, which wasn’t a far walk from here. When we went in, we were engulfed in a tunnel and there were sharks swimming around us. I thought: if one of the pipes break, we are in HUGE trouble! I bet one of the sharks would eat us! Gulp! It wasn’t a pleasant thought…

After that exhibit, we passed the stadium for Sea Lions Rock! and we also passed the freshwater aquarium. We stayed a little while to see the flamingo cove, but we had already seen flamingos at the San Diego Zoo and had no intention of seeing it again. We then made our way to Forbidden Reef, where I stayed and petted the San Diego bat rays until we had to go. The rays were really adorable and so silky. They rippled under your hand, like soft sand sliding off your fingers. One seemed to always come to me. I recognized it because of the scar right over its eye. Whenever I came, it would find its way to me. It was almost as if it knew me, and identified me! Once it came, it stayed. It would stay there until I had to leave. Then it would glide away, as graceful as ever. We had to leave because it was our turn to feed the dolphins at the Rocky Point Preserve. We bought two batches; that meant that two people could feed the dolphins. I wanted to feed them, and so did my dad. We fed them these small fishies and we also got to pet them. The dolphin felt cool against my skin, but at the same time strong. It was silky, but it didn’t flow. It was a hard silky. It felt as if all the fleshy part had hardened and the only thing that was left was muscle, with a silk covering. It was an interesting texture. Also, there was this bird that kept on wandering over to me. I guess it was watching for any dropped fishies, but none fell. I really didn’t care about what kind of bird it was, but now that I really ponder about it, I think that it was a heron. It had the long legs, the sharp beak, and the white sleek feathers. It was a white bird, and it looked kind of cute, although the eyes were beady. Its wings were long and powerful looking. We then went to the Shipwreck Reef Café. There, we purchased these bracelets that allowed us to eat anything for free, and our family ate constantly, we thought it was a good idea to buy one of these. What we thought was true. Then, I ate this shrimp salad thingy. Boy, didn’t it taste good! I loved it! After that, we traveled all the way down to the Pets Rule Stadium. It was a wonderful show, and I loved it. It was about what animals do in their backyards. At the beginning, two dogs raced, and the one I was cheering won. It was a golden retriever. My dad and I sat in a wet zone deliberately, because I wanted to get cool- I was burning up. However, my mom decided that she would sit in the shady area, because this place had too much sunlight. Yes, it was hot, but a small price to pay for the great view and getting wet. Besides, it all dried up after a few minutes, so the wet feeling was momentary. Then, all the dogs, pigs, and cats performed tricks and then the show ended. We then went the California Tide Pool. There I touched some star fish. They are really light and they have a scaly top shell. They can suck really strongly, and they attached themselves to my hand. However, I wasn’t really impressed because I found plenty of star fish at Second Beach. Therefore, we quickly moved on. By that time, it was time to watch the Blue Horizons show. We quickly walked to the stadium and got decent seats. We learned that there was a soak-zone, a wet-zone, and then a normal zone. We sat in the normal zone in fear of getting soaked, but we had no need to worry. We were relatively safe from the waves, higher up in the stands. Blue Horizon was a play about a girl named Marina that has a vivid imagination. Her imagination sets the stage with crashing waves, extravagant birds, graceful dolphins, and humongous pilot whales. It was an amazing show full of dolphins and a meaningful story plot. This play was performed in the totally renovated Dolphin Stadium. After we watched that, we still had a lot of time left till our next show started, so we went to Forbidden Reef again and pet the bat rays again. No matter how many times I pet then, I don’t think I could have gotten enough of the bat rays. If it were possible, I think I would have even enjoyed taking the bat rays as a pet, but it wasn’t possible. It was the same old petting, but then one thing was different. This time, I even fed the rays. At first, I thought that they would suck up my hand, so I made my dad do it first. When it submerged attached to the wrist all right, I decided that I would try it for myself. I took a fish between my two fingers and I put it on the ocean floor. Pretty soon, a bat ray came and sucked it out of my hand. My hand survived. I tried it again and again until I was out of fish. My mom graciously asked if I would like her to buy me some more, but my replied with a no. After petting them for a few more minutes, my dad said that we had to move on if we were going to watch the Shamu: Believe show. Of course I wanted to watch, it, but I was torn between the two. I wanted to pet the bat rays and stay there for endless hours at end, at my heart’s content (I swear that I could stay there for the whole day and just spend the day petting and feeding the rays), but I also wanted to meet and see the famous killer whale that was at the San Diego Sea World. Finds out, there are three killer whales, but there is still only one Shammu. Maybe the other two are back ups, or maybe even side kicks! Just like Mukmuk in The Olympics! We took a risk and sat in the soak zone, and luck was on our side. We didn’t get soaked at all, yet the row right in front of us got utterly soaked! I caught a girl looking wistfully at us and asked the mom in a tiny voice: “WHO said that we should sit here?” and then shot an intense glare (seriously didn’t know that a kid’s eyes as small as her could be so full of hatred!) at her sister. All I could do was chuckle inwardly. However, a tiny smile slipped onto my lips, so I quickly diverted my attention to the show, hopping she didn’t see it. Finally, the show was over. We went out of the stadium. Then, we went somewhere to eat. After that, my mom persuaded me (HUGE MISTAKE!) that it would be FUN to go on the Shipwreck Rapids. UMM. HMMM. YOU tell me how dire the situation was. So we went on the ride. We stood inn the HUGE line and finally boarded the raft. In the line, my mom kept on saying that it wouldn’t be too wet, after all, only a few people (more like MOST if them to me) were coming up soaked and ringing out their shirts from the water. Huh. So we went on the ride. The first few seconds were fine. Sure. You could say that. Then buckets of water were pouring down my shirt. Ya, the cost of believing my mother. Actually, it seems too harsh a punishment for that even! So at the end, my WHOLE BOBY (emphasize whole) was soaking. Bad luck? I DON’T THINK SO! Luckily, I had a spare dress and spare pants, too. Undershirt? Didn’t wear. Underwear? Don’t even ask… (although I did kind of wear some). Now rate it in dire situation – I would rate it a 99.999999… out of a 100. Of course, it could be worse (Hmmm. Thrown off the raft?), but only barely. Then we ate lunch, pet the bat rays some more, and then we head home. So that is all about my amazing day at Sea World. Overall, I would rate it a 99 out of 100, but only because of the Shipwreck Rapids water incident. It was a fairly good day and it was fun. Now it is time to sleep off my weariness and prepare for the long day tomorrow. Maybe it will get a 100 out of 100!

My Trip to San Diego: Day two

Today, I went to the San Diego Zoo. I found out that it was a huge zoo the moment I went in. This was proved as when I was done doing my rounds around the zoo, I thought my legs were going to break off…

When my family and I when to buy our tickets, we chose one that enabled us to go to Sea World, the San Diego Wild Animal Safari and the San Diego Zoo. Then, before venturing inside, we decided to buy a backstage pass. This pass allows you to sit in the front row seat on the bus tour, sit in the priority sitting place of shows (two, specifically: Take Flight and Sea Lions Rock), and venture backstage and interact with some animals. I will tell you more about the backstage pass later on.

The first thing my eye wandered to, the dominant thing was the bus tour. It is really easy to spot, as the vehicle was large, added to the fact that it was right in front of the entrance. It was a two story bus, huge. Its width was quite significant. It was open-topped so, it was a bad idea to sit on the top if it were to rain. As we didn’t expect it to rain, we sat at the top. This was a good choice most of the time because the animal was usually resting somewhere where we could see it from a bird’s view or we were eye-level to it. I took some photos there, but most of them I didn’t because I was too absorbed looking around rather than taking the photo. Some on memory and some not, I saw quite a large amount of animals. Some animals are: elephants, monkeys, giraffes, a hog, flamingos, ducks, birds, and meerkats (OMG, aren’t they cute!)…

So, after the bus ride, we were on foot. The zoo is split into nine main parts: discovery outpost, urban jungle, African rocks, outback, polar rim, and elephant odyssey. You can guess what a lot of them are about when you see the title. For example, when you read ‘elephant Odyssey,’ you can assume that it is going to exhibit elephants. However, places like outback are a little harder. Outback is where you see koalas and wallabies and camels! We had rounded all of that (well, almost) when we decided to go to the place where the backstage thingy was happening. During the time that we were waiting, we decided to take a look at the meerkats. I swear that I could pass my whole entire day just watching those funny little creatures! Their lying positions are absolutely ridiculous! They look like they are trying to sun tan their backs! It looks like they are saying: “I’m too tired to pose for the camera, so don’t photograph me…”! It is simply so amusing! Others stand and ‘pose’ (stand up straight in a begging position) for the camera! What are they? Fashion models? Sometimes, I really wonder what is going across an animal’s head when they do something. I also got to feed the giraffe. I could hardly believe how long their tongues were! They were like three inches long! They just snatch the food pellet out of your hand and munch munch, it goes down the digestive track. I really liked feeding the giraffe, so I wanted to do more. Well, wish came true!

We lined up for the backstage pass thingy and when the keeper finally came, we were split into teams. There was the blue team and the green team. I was in the blue team and same for my mom. My dad didn’t go in because we only bought two passes and I chose my mom to go with me only because I knew she didn’t want to go and that whe was afraid of the animals. Otherwise, I would have chosen my dad (as he is better at taking pictures than Mom). So, the animals… We saw a kookaburra and tempted it to cry. We made this thee-thee noise to tempt it. You put your mouth into an o shape and then you kind of separate the tongue and the upper part of your mouth at the same time. It is kind out hard to explain. The zoo keepers also introduced some kind of beaver. I thought it was a wood chomper. When it came onto the stage, it was eating a banana. It left some on the floor when it left. The next visitor, a wolf being tamed by a dog (my mom thought it was the wolf’s food when she saw the dog lying there) went and sniffed at it! I thought that that was pretty funny. Well, most the people did. After the wolf (which we took pictures with) went, then came a cheetah being tamed by a dog. We also took pictures with that one, too. We also saw this big black bird that had a long curved beak. We saw what it does to a lizard (boy, I wouldn’t want to be that lizard for anything!). First, it grabs it by the neck, and then it starts swinging it all around. It is proved that that black bird isn’t the sharpest pencil in the pencil box when the keeper states that it has been trying to kill it for the past three years! We then change with the green group and go to feed and pet (and brush) the rhinoceros. At first, my mom didn’t want to try to feed the rhino, but eventually she fed them. They have an unusual texture in their mouths and two big molars. They have a scaly skin and they have their personal cool shade. It you slip your hands into the folds, it will be really cool. Finally, we got to brush them with these big floor brushes. They were blue and kind of proved as a scratcher. Finally, after washing my hands several times, we finally left. By that time, I sincerely wanted to be a zoo keeper. All the fabulous animals you get to meet! We went to this private box place and we met two animals. I started with the anteater and then the flamingos.

One of the zoo keepers fetched an anteater. Did you know that anteaters prefer ants’ eggs to ants? That came of a surprise to me as I had always believed that anteaters ate ants only due to the name! However, sometimes names lie and this was one of the times. I touched the anteater’s fur while it was eating jam. It was very matted and raggedy. It felt sleek though, too. We then went to feed the flamingos.

We got a cup for every two people, but since I was paired up with my mom and she didn’t want to feed them, I fed all of the food. The food is food pellets soaked in water. You want to keep the cup down so the water doesn’t splatter all over you. It feels strong (the pulls) when they eat. If you don’t hold on tight, you might have a spill. Did you know that if a flamingo pecks at you, it means that they are trying to groom you? Also, they get their pink colour from all the shrimp they eat! I was really amazed by how many flamingos there were and how fast they ate (probably even faster than me!).

Finally, the backstage was over and we all made our way to the restaurant in the mall we were going to eat at. After eating, we shopped a little and got a dress for me. Now I am too tired and am going to sleep. Good night. To make a longer story short, today was an awesome day and I hope tomorrow will be as good as we venture at Sea World.

My Trip to San Diego: Day One

Face it, waking up at three o’clock in the morning is NOT the best thing to do… However, it just makes it worse if you wake up at TWO o’clock because you thought you had to… I do NOT recommend this. Unfortunately, for me, this was just the case. Waking up at two and again (not that I got to get much sleep in that hour or so) at three is not that enjoyable. When I got up, we dressed and washed. My dad called a taxi to drive us to the airport. When we got there, we checked in and we headed for the ‘secure check’. After that, we had to go to the immigration center and check in there. After being checked three times, (I got pretty darn bored) we finally got to head to the ‘real’ part of the airport, the gates. Thankfully, there were stores where the gates were, or I would bet that we would have died of boredom. Then, we had to eat breakfast and we went to the restroom, too. We took turns guarding our stuff; my dad first and then my mom and I. By that time, there was only a little time left for us to hurry to the gate so I felt a little rushed. When our airplane was ready for us, the passengers piled in. We piled in last because our seats were called last. At first, before the airplane was is the air, it had to gather momentum. Well, it took this plane so many minutes over the usual that the pilot even told us that we weren’t going to drive to L.A., our destination (it wasn’t our final destination because THAT would be San Diego). I felt that that was pretty funny. After a few more minutes, the plane finally went: Up, Up and Away! It was a short ride compared to the other flights. We only had ridden for about two and a half hours when we got to our destination. I was sleeping most of the time, but my parents were watching something on my dad’s laptop. The only part I was really not asleep at was the time we launched ourselves. Then I was fast asleep.

I woke up about the time when the airplane was about to come to land and land. When we finally landed, we were surprised that the exit off the plane was the same way that people get on the plane. I wasn’t used to that because in Vancouver, whenever we get off, the place (or route) isn’t the same as the place we get on. So when we got off the plane, we made our way to the place where we had to get the luggage that we had sent. We only had one bag that we had ‘sent ahead of us’, so after retrieving it, we mad our way to the shuttle bus we were going to ride. The shuttle took you to a rental shop called Avis. Here we rented out a car of the ‘brand’ Kia. We then went to a Korean restaurant. It was called gillmok (the Korean pronunciation). The actual English ‘title’ was The Corner Store. That isn’t exactly the right interpretation, but it is pretty close. We ate bulgoge, cold noodles and rice. I ate until I thought my stomach would bust! It was really fulfilling! After that, we headed for the mall. Again this was a Korean mall. It was (and I bet still is) located in Korea town. There, I bought some stationary, including pencils and notebooks. I felt really happy after I bought those cool pencils. One was the shake one, the other the pen and pencil in one, and the other don’t need to push lead out. My mom also bought some text books. Huh. I guess they are for me… Who else? We also shopped for fruits and water. Then we left and headed for Costco. There, we bought two books: New Moon by Stephanie Meyer and The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan. I hadn’t brought any books with me because my dad told me not to. After we bought the books, we headed to San Diego.

We arrived at the hotel, Sheraton. However, when we were about to check in, we found out that we were in the other ward, not this ward. The difference between the two buildings was the rooms. They said that it was bigger in the other building. I don’t think I would actually mind if the room was a little smaller, though. I also thought it would have been nice if the people would actually give a heads up! sign. They could have given us a phone call, at the least. Finally, we got to our room. We set all our things up and settled down. Then, disaster struck. The shower didn’t work! So my dad called down to the front desk. They sent us a ‘plumber’, but he couldn’t fix it. So, we had to move all our stuff! I nearly fell into my bed dafter that! So, that was my tired yet very interesting day!

Halloween

Airport

My aunt, cousin, and aunt's husband left today. The day before yesterday, we went to Seattle. We went there early in the morning and came back late at night. Then, yesterday, we went to Grouse Mountain. We watched theater in the air. However, we only stayed there a short time because there wasn't much to do.

My Aunt Has Come!

Ok. Listen up. A few days ago, my aunt came. She also came with her daughter and her husband! It was really exciting. Right now, they are at the Rockies, but they will come back on Friday. I was thrilled when they came because my aunt brought a whole bag of presents! I was litterally jumping for joy! Her daughter is younger than me, but it is a playmate all the same! I will keep posting anything that is fun and exciting! (Or cute)
