Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass

This book has two stories in one: Alice in Wonderland, and Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There. Yes, they are two different stories, but both featuring Alice. Alice in Wonderland is the one most are familiar with- complete with the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire Cat, the Caterpillar, the Red Queen of Hearts, and the White Rabbit, and all those characters we have come to love. Then there are Tweedledum and Tweedledee, Humpty Dumpty, and the Jabberwocky from Through the Looking Glass Louis Carol wrote two books worth the love of everyone.

'I'm late! I'm late! For a very important date! No time to say hello, goodbye, I'm late I'm late, I'm late!'
-White Rabbit

Don't be late to read this book! Louis Carol wrote an enticing story of a girl in an insane, bizarre, quite mad place, with many things that happen in which would never happen in real life! He created another parallel universe- one where all sorts of creations can speak: from flowers to packs of cards to insects to packs of cards, wouldn't it be quite a noisy world if all these seemingly inanimate objects were to start talking? And most of all, the fact that there are quite the more chatterboxes in Wonderland....... Some things were just meant not to talk! Especially caterpillars smoking through a hookah. And don't take advice from caterpillars. Hopefully Alice has learnt that lesson!

Alice is a normal girl who has been dropped into Wonderland. In both Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, Alice is quite perplexed in finding herself in a world so different and odd. You would be too, in her shoes. In a world where everyone turns everything into riddles, close to everything can speak, and many strange creatures rule the land, Alice struggles to find her way home. Both an adventure story, but comical all the same, Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking glass will not fail to entertain many and all. I definitely loved reading these two books, and I recommend it to people ages 10 and above!

The thing about Through The Looking Glass, is that Alice seems less innocent, and more grown up. This changes the story line a bit, and I do think I preferred Alice in Wonderland to Through the Looking Glass.

***I give Alice in Wonderland a 9.89 out of 10! It is truly a must-read and a to-be-classic! I give Through the Looking Glass a 9.5 out of 10!***
